A sterling kitchen island – a special project in Munich’s city center. Drawers and side fronts made of real silver. The surface was hand-rolled by a blacksmith and reflects its immediate surroundings. It reflects the minimalist interior architecture as well as the view over the city through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The countertop of the kitchen is elegantly understated. The light-colored stone in London Grey is interspersed with a fine pattern. The kitchen niche is also dominated by matte surfaces in subtle grey and seamlessly integrated into the architecture. Sophisticated, but without distracting the eye from the silver cooking island.
The flooring is what grounds this minimalist but luxuriously designed kitchen. Soaped chestnut – the long wooden planks support the vastness of the room. The vibrant grain creates warmth.
