Our team is putting down new floors on an area of 3000 sqm for the Park Hotel Egerner Höfe at the Tegernsee. A modernization in keeping with tradition is important to the dairy businessman and new owner Christian Ehrmann. After a long and intensive sampling process, the decision was made together with the Munich-based LSA architects to use oak wood – herringbone and planks in the rooms, and classic board flooring in the restaurant area and the parlors.
The structural work has been completed for the most part. Hardwood floors for around 200 rooms are currently being laid. The project is scheduled to be completed as early as the end of June. To make this possible, planners, site managers and various local contractors are working hand in hand at full speed. All the craftsmen and construction workers get together for lunch — the kitchen team led by gourmet chef Thomas Keller, who cook for the hotel’s guests during regular service, provides a warm meal on an interim basis to ensure motivation and team spirit.
The rendering of the sample room already shows how the materials will work together in the end. We are looking forward to the final sprint and collaborative accomplishment!
