Hermine Gerber is visibly proud of her „wallpaper“ — a term of endearment used internally to describe her optimization plan. The bachelor student had four months to delve into the internal processes of Eham’s interior design department. She spoke to each employee to get a feel for their work methods and processes. While the team previously juggled their own to-do lists, Hermine Gerber’s structure provides an overview of who is working on which construction site.
Eham is committed to offering bachelor students creative freedom and sufficient time for their theses. Still, they must deliver clear results — a balancing act that Hermine Gerber has succeeded in achieving across the board. „A project like this can be compared to the intensive work that goes into a graduating project in a carpentry apprenticeship,“ explains Elias Kronberger, head of the interior design department.
Hermine Gerber knows her stuff. Before she moved to Rosenheim in the summer of 2016 to study interior design, she had already completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter in Saxony. „Now I’ve been living at the foot of the Bavarian Alps for almost five years,“ she concludes with a smile. We thank Hermine for her commitment and good work that will continue to accompany us and wish her all the best for the future.
