Nature is near and dear to our hearts — and it’s right on our doorstep. By working directly with wood, we not only create unique craftsmanship day by day, but we also develop a special appreciation of the value of our forests. Every gram of CO2 we can reduce helps our nature.
With that in mind, our dedicated team at EHAM left the cars at home this year and took part in our municipality’s city cycling event. It is a special campaign that not only promotes team spirit and physical fitness, but also contributes to environmental protection in Hausham.
Our motivated team, consisting of 22 cyclists, covered an impressive 3159 km on their bikes this year. As a result, we were able to claim a strong 6th place among the teams from the Hausham municipality. The internal team ranking: Fabian Feigl, Stefan Feilmeier and Markus Laule did a lot of the heavy legwork. They covered the longest distances with 323 km, 283 km and 264 km, respectively, and of course received a prize for their efforts. (all kilometers rounded)
With an average of 1.5 kg of CO2 per 10.8 km, we were able to reduce CO2 emissions by about 441 kg through our participation in the city cycling event.
We decided to move up a gear further: with a donation of around 50 cents/km, we were able to donate a total of € 1,600 to Lebenshilfe Hausham.
We are proud of every single kilometer covered and thank the members of our bike team for their strong contribution. Next year we will pedal together again and cycle for both good causes: for social institutions in Hausham and for our nature.
Not part of a team yet? Why not come join the EHAM team next year and hit the ground running with us!
