‘When you touch these woods, you can feel the tears in them, the grooves that the wind and rain have carved into them over many years. It is wood that has been penetrated by time itself.’ This is how Jörg Burger describes the woods that he perused here at Eham. He spent hours in the company of Josef Eham, filling entire notebooks with writing – the end result is wonderful. A big thank you to the ZEITMagazin team and the editorial board for the wonderful article in the current issue. To be featured in an issue and mentioned in the same breath as major designers such as Ray and Charles Eames is overwhelming.
